The SED-TVET program consists of four components and is working in selected pilot provinces: Central- and West Java, DI. Yogyakarta, South Sulawesi and East Kalimantan. Additionally, in 2011, an additional component on the "Consolidation of TVET management in ACEH and NIAS" has been integrated into the Program.

The objective for Component 3 in the current project phase is "Formal and non-formal training offers in selected TVET-institute are improved". Related to the upgrading of formal & informal training offers in selected TVET institutions, school development plans (SDP) have to be developed. SDP's are essential to guide training providers and district governments to focus better on the upgrading process of 22 selected institutes.

  • A SDP is divided in a rather o technical part to analyze existing training programs and their future equipment needs.
  • Strategic part where the institutes define future strategies in order to develop ownership and make the upgrading sustainable.
